Responsibility
Settlement of the account is always the patient's responsibility. Please note that should there be an excess on your insurance policy, or lapse in cover, settlement will be required from yourself. Payment can be made by cheque or bacs transfer. Credit and debit cards are also accepted. Please call my secretary to make card payments. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee of £100.00 may be charged, as well as a fixed £25.00 administration fee.

Confirming cover with your insurer
As you are responsible for the costs of your treatment it is important you understand the cover your insurer will provide. The best way to ensure your insurance company will cover your treatment costs is to contact them prior to the date of your appointment to inform them of your treatment details. If your insurance company confirm cover you should obtain an authorisation code from them. You are always advised to obtain authorisation before undergoing investigations, treatment and follow-up consultations. Please arrange for a referral letter from your GP or referring consultant to be faxed to Dr Adler at 01753 245085 or please bring it to your appointment as this contains important information and is often a requirement from your insurance company.

Billing information
Invoices are sent to your insurer for direct payment. The Hospital at which you see Dr Adler will also invoice your insurer directly for any of their costs. Your insurance company will usually notify you in writing that your claim is being settled. They will also inform you of any shortfalls you may have incurred and explain the reasons for them. You are kindly requested to settle any excess payments within 14 days and for payment methods please contact Dr Adlers secretary.

Self-pay patients
Dr Adler welcomes any self-pay patient and special packages for x-rays and scans can be arranged.
